TRIAL INTRODUCTORY FLIGHT
Start with a Trial Introductory Flight, commonly known as a TIF. This is the best way to experience the freedom of flight, and recreational flying.

Ningaloo Reef is the greatest place on Earth to fly a Microlight. Amazing views, smooth flying conditions and an abundance of marine life all year round, there is no other experience like it!
Trial Introductory Flights:
– 30 minutes $319 inc. GST
– 60 minutes $489 inc. GST
– 90 minutes $659 inc. GST
Free photos are included on every one of our flights, which are captured from a wing mounted GoPro camera. You will also receive a complimentary stubby holder to remember your amazing Birds Eye View flying experience.
Lessons are conducted from the Exmouth Aerodrome, only 13kms south of the Exmouth Township. Birds Eye View Ningaloo can safely guide you through an efficient training programme aimed at teaching you the knowledge and skills needed to gain your Pilot Certificate.
The average person with no previous flying experience should expect to complete some 12 to 18 hours of actual in-flight tuition to reach solo standard.

The Sport Aviation Federation of Australia (SAFA) is an association of sports aircraft owners and pilots who look after the interests of hang glider, paraglider and microlight pilots in Australia.
Membership of SAFA is mandatory to participate in microlight flying activity in Australia. As part of your trial flight, you become a temporary member for a 24 hour period.
To continue with flight training after this time you must apply for a student pilot membership or become a full member.
SAFA – New Student Pilot Membership: $33 (valid for 30 days)
Upon completion of your course, it is then you will be required to become a full SAFA member.
SAFA – Full Membership: $473.50 per year
All flight lessons include pre and post flight briefings. Home study of theory material is encouraged, however, should you feel you need more comprehensive theory tuition on rules of the air, basic aerodynamics, emergencies or other topics then theory lessons are available.
Briefings & Theory Lessons: $99 inc. GST (per hour)
You will be required to sit two multiple-choice exams, the Pre-Solo exam and the Pilot Certificate/BAK exam. The exam questions are similar to the questions you will find in your Pilot Training Workbook.
So with a little self study and a completed workbook, your exams should not prove too difficult. You can sit your exams at any stage through your lessons.
Theory Exams: $99 inc. GST (per exam)
We have completed over 12,000hrs of flying training to date. That’s equivalent to a whopping 120 x 100hrly services which is more than most other flying schools. This huge amount of aircraft maintenance experience means we certainly know how to keep your aircraft clean, safe and airworthy.
We can help you with all aspects of your aircraft maintenance, from full aircraft restoration to scheduled and unscheduled servicing. We can tune your wing to get it flying perfectly and we will test fly it for you too!
